California Medigap plans help to fill in the gaps between what Medicare pays and what you owe. Medicare supplement plans in California are standardized by the Federal Government. California is home to 40 million Americans with 14% being seniors 65 and older. Within the senior population, there are about 70% that have as least one chronic condition. California Medicare Initial Enrollment Period:

California Medicare beneficiaries are eligible for Medicare at age 65, just like everywhere else.  Your initial enrollment period begins three (3) months before your birth month and lasts through three (3) months after your birth month.

Like most states, California has ten standardized Medigap plans, each labeled with a letter from A through N. These plans have the same standardized benefits for each letter category.
